The Butterfly Strikes a Pose
As I strolled through the trail at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, I came upon this beautiful butterfly who patiently posed for me. With my Nikon 7200 in hand, without a zoom lens, I had to get very, very close to it to get the shot. Surely it would fly away, I thought, as I crept closer and closer while praying that I wouldn’t scare it away. But, much to my surprise, it stayed there for an unusual amount of time while I clicked away. Many thanks to this butterfly. I would not have been able to create the first fabric design of the PAPILLON COLLECTION without it.
