Have you ever stood close and next to a hot air balloon right before its lift off? I was on a road trip and discovered by happenstance that there was a balloon festival taking place in the very town that I was passing through in Arizona. I had never been to a hot air balloon festival before. So, I decided to stay a while. I rose early the next morning, before sunrise, to arrive at the field where the balloons were preparing for their flights that gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to get up close in the midst of all the action to take hundreds of photographs that I have used to create the Balloon Collection of fabrics. This is a great choice of fabric to coordinate with Nos. 7, 8, and 9 from this collection.
My fabric designs are created from digital photography and are drawn from nature, architectural and antiquities details, textures, patinas, and found objects.
